The classes, which are taught by Tottenham-based artist Joanna Pilarczyk, take place on Monday evenings from 7pm and 9pm and cost just £5.
The classes focus on portrait drawing from live models, with each pose lasting between 15 minutes and 25 minutes. Pilarczyk, herself a specialist in portrait drawing and painting, is on hand with helpful tips and guidance for those that want (or need) them.
Seventhsister joined around 10 drawing enthusiasts of all levels of ability at last weeks’ class having not picked up a pencil or a sketchbook for nearly 20 years.
While we might have been a little rusty, the class was very therapeutic and unbeatable in terms of focusing the mind and leaving the working day behind.
It also helped that the model was a really interesting chap to draw too.
Overall the evening was very informal and relaxed and there was a break halfway through for a chance to refuel at the bar as well as to socialize and take a peek at the work of the rest of the class.
Whether you’re a total novice or a former art student, we can highly recommend this Monday evening out.
