Seven Sisters is soon to be graced with a lovely new cafe/workspace. Blighty will be opening next Wednesday 21st September on Tottenham High Road, just opposite the college.

The manager Ed Yarnton (self-professed coffee nerd) took the time to show us around for a sneak preview today.

The team have done an amazing job transforming the site from a business training centre to a cafe that, even a week from completion, already has an ambience that made me want to sit down, order a coffee, and chill.

Dee, the interior designer, has created a space with a a lovely rustic feel, pictures from colonial India adorn the walls giving Blighty the feeling of a hidden corner of old India on the high road.

Upstairs from the cosy café are two floors of community work spaces and shared offices (some of which are still vacant in case you are looking).

Alongside excellent coffee from all over the commonwealth, Blighty will also be serving colonial-inspired brunches.

The food is described as Indian fusion and sounds intriguing: The Gandhi (vegan), The Winston (full English) and The Clementine (Vegetarian).

If their sister cafe in Finsbury Park is anything to go by, Blighty will be well worth a visit when it opens next week.

Seventhsister will be back with a full report soon.
