If caffeine is your fix then Craving Coffee’s new pop up at Tottenham Hale is sure to jump start your day.

Owners Rachel and Matt Ho know a coffee-lover’s routine is sacred – and they are now making it easier by popping up on your way to your work.

Craving Coffee began in May 2014 as a mobile cart at local markets around Harringay, including Tottenham Green.

And their café at Gaunson House, which opened in 2014, has already built a reputation for being among the best in the area.

Now the pop up at Tottenham Hale is a bid to go one step further for their regulars.

“It is quite different to our café at Gaunson House or when the cart was at Tottenham Hale Station,” Rachel says.

“It’s more of a chilled out space where people can come and linger over a coffee, either on their own or with friends – and it lends itself to more of a chance to have a chat with the barista.”

The pop up is a short walk from the tube and for now it is open over the summer.

But they are hoping to be able to do something beyond then.

The pair know the importance of building a venture rooted in the community and are working with businesses on ways to promote Tottenham’s evening offerings.

Meanwhile they continue to grow their café events, while honing the art form for which they are so well known.

“We put a lot of thought and effort into the quality of our coffee. Whether that is through barista training, the equipment we use, knowing where the beans are sourced and then how we get them to customers”, Rachel says.

“The pop up is one more way to do that and I am looking forward to seeing how things take shape.”
